At Williamstown Middle School we have taken strides to provide for the individual needs of our students. Our school provides small learning communities that we call "cores." These cores are composed of five subject area teachers who get to know the students on a personal level. The core academic teachers meet to plan curriculum, schedule events, and discuss student progress in their classes. Our core approach provides a small school environment despite our large size.

Our teachers are student-centered, caring instructors who make the school an enjoyable place for students to learn and grow. The staff sets high expectations for all students and provides dynamic lessons to help the students reach their potential. These highly trained professionals work collaboratively to provide a highly productive learning environment.

Williamstown Middle School offers a wide range of courses that support the academic program. Our World Language program provides language and cultural instruction in French, Spanish, and German. We have a lively related arts curriculum offering learning experiences in the performing arts, industrial technology, school to careers, and computers. Students receive a 30-day cycle of instruction in each of these areas.

We offer a large number of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Intramural sports include boy's and girl's basketball, football, cross country, track, and softball. Students can participate in interscholastic sports. We offer boy's and girl's basketball, cheerleading, wrestling, and girl's softball. Additionally, we offer a large number of clubs and activities including band, chorus, yearbook, and newspaper to name a few.
