Mission Statement:

The purpose of the Winslow Elementary School is to provide a positive and supportive environment for children to grow academically, emotionally, socially, and physically to become productive citizens in society.

Winslow Elementary School is one of three elementary schools in the Pike County School Corporation. Students feed into one middle/high school, Pike Central Middle & High School. The enrollment remains fairly stable at around 300 students; the enrollment for the 2006-07 school year is 294. The school serves a community that is mostly a population that is involved in coal mining and farming.
