Our Mission

The Wolfgang Orchestra and Chorus, a community orchestra and chorus in Southern Indiana, is a musical organization with rehearsals and instruction one evening per week. The express mission of Wolfgang Orchestra and Chorus is to rehearse and perform in a group of equally talented musicians, playing a variety of music from classical greats, inspirational, and modern compositions. We provide an outlet for non-professional musicians to practice, perform, and enjoy the camaraderie that music can bring to our lives and then share that with the public at no cost to our audience. Our mission includes providing free concerts in our local communities to provide entertainment and music education through these events.

We hold 3 seasons per year, running 10-14 weeks each, and each season culminates with 2 or more concerts in Vanderburgh and Posey counties. Our objective is to be inclusive to musicians of all ages who enjoy making music in a group setting, but who are not professional musicians. Our members include talented high school and college musicians as well as adults. Our objectives also include providing free local access to live concert music.
