Aside from cabs that cruise and The Empire State Building? They have an abundance of wonderful, warm, supportive women's groups. We know; we were in them. We ran them. Why are there so few in Florida? Why are those that are available, less than joyous? What makes us so different? We (both with graduate psychology degrees - licensed psychologist and professional, experienced group leader with 38 years of experience between us) are professionals. We are not accounting majors or self-professed life coaches with no professional training. We are compassionate, funny, warm, and, yes, wise. We are the real thing. Why do you, the women reading this, need Women's Lifeline? A recent story told in a magazine: when a young African tribal woman heard that American women have running water in their homes, she said, "How sad. When do they get to talk if not at the well?" Our new workshop begins on October 14th and 21st at St. Benedicts Church in Plantation. Our groups are completely non-sectarian. We limit our groups, so please register early. This new class is a class for first time members. The title: I Know I'm In Here Somewhere. Have you felt this? Do you think that somewhere along the way "you" have gotten lost? While things may be OK, when has OK become enough? We run workshops that are fun, non-threatening, supportive and life-affirming. Join us and meet a wonderful group of women.
