Lets take a trip and go back in time. The year is 1914. A group of people felt led by God to start holding worship services. However, there was no building to use. But, they did have a canvas tent. On April 1, 1914, the first service was held under the tent across from the local train station. The town, formally known as Splendor, was Zirconia, North Carolina.
