Elizabeth Klodas, M.D. F.A.C.C. founded Preventive Cardiology Clinic in 1999. Her clinical interests include prevention of heart disease and non-invasive cardiac imaging. She has authored a book for patients, “Slay the Giant: The Power of Prevention in Defeating Heart Disease,” and served as founding Editor-in-Chief of Cardiosmart.org, the patient education effort of the American College of Cardiology.
She received her doctorate from the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada, and completed her Internal Medicine residency at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota. She then went on to complete her Cardiology fellowships with both the Mayo Graduate School and John Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland.
Most recently, she co-founded Step One Foods, a company which develops, manufactures and markets practical food products to meet the specific nutritional requirements of patients living with or trying to prevent heart disease.
