Joshua Rothenberg, D.O., is a physiatrist and sports medicine physician at Baptist Health Orthopedic Care. Dr. Rothenberg specializes in sports medicine, spine care, regenerative medicine and orthobiologics.
Prior to joining Baptist Health Orthopedic Care in 2017, Dr. Rothenberg was on staff at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center East.
Dr. Rothenberg is an author and publisher on musculoskeletal ultrasound. He also has given national and international presentations on regenerative medicine procedures. He has numerous publications in the field of regenerative medicine, platelet rich plasma and bone marrow aspirate concentrate.
He currently serves as the director of regenerative medicine and orthopedic biologics at Baptist Health Orthopedic Care. He has clinical and research experience in regenerative medicine procedures, namely platelet-rich plasma and bone marrow aspirate concentrate for orthopedic conditions. In 2017, he was awarded the Association of Academic Physiatrists’ McLean Outstanding Resident/Fellow Award for the top resident/fellow in the country in his specialty. In 2016, he received the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine Resident Scholarship Award.
Dr. Rothenberg’s approach to patient care is to use a conservative standard of care augmented with high-level interventions when needed. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Rothenberg enjoys spending time with his family.
