Lindsey Troyer, Family Nurse Practitioner at Beacon Medical Group OB GYN Elkhart, first decided on her career when a medical missions team came and spoke at her church.
“I was immediately intrigued at the way their medical skills gave them a platform to share the message of hope and healing,” Troyer said. “I wanted a career where serving others was a part of my every day routine. Meeting the physical needs of a patient often opens the door to care for their emotional and spiritual needs as well.”
Lindsey received both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University. Now, she provides medical care for women in all seasons of life. She loves her specialty, especially because she can relate to many of her patients in a unique way as a mom of three young children.
“I want my patients to know that I care deeply about them,” she said. “I enjoy taking the time to understand where they are coming from and how to best meet their individual needs. My philosophy is to give excellent care with a compassionate heart. I hope that every patient I have taken care of has felt valued as a person and well-cared for.”
