Dr. Rajeev Puri is a board-certified, fellowship-trained hip, knee, foot, and ankle surgeon. He is a Healthgrades “Five-Star Doctor,” he’s been honored as a Silver Cross Hospital Top Doc for outstanding patient satisfaction, and Patients Choice has named him one of America’s Most Compassionate Doctors. Dr. Puri’s area of expertise is in the comprehensive care of the lower extremity. As an advanced specialist, he performs most of the practice’s hip and knee revisions. He has an interest in challenging cases and uses computer-aided planning and gender-specific implants in knee replacements as well as minimally invasive techniques in hip replacements for faster recoveries. Dr. Puri also offers foot and ankle procedures, from tendon reconstructions to complex diabetic foot fusions.
Dr. Puri completed his undergraduate work at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, with an engineering degree. He worked for General Motors for a year before attending The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio, where he also interned in general surgery and underwent his orthopedic surgical residency. Dr. Puri later completed two fellowships: the first in foot and ankle reconstruction at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and the second fellowship in hip and knee total joint revision at Indiana Orthopedics in Indianapolis. Throughout his education and training, Dr. Puri garnered numerous awards and recognition for his outstanding academics, research, and publications.
While at OAK Orthopedics, Dr. Puri has continued to engage in research and shared a publication with an author at Rush University. Dr. Puri previously established a hip and knee clinic for the underserved of the Pembroke area that he funded himself along with donations from the industry. In his free time, he enjoys working with computers and playing guitar. Dr. Puri also likes to stay active by mountain biking, running, and playing tennis.
