Stephen Steinberg, M.D., is a board-certified Baptist Health gastroenterologist, who specializes in endoscopic ultrasound and minimally invasive advanced therapeutic endoscopy. He also leads The Center of Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy at Baptist Health Boca Raton Regional Hospital.
Joining Baptist Health in 2010, Dr. Steinberg previously served as chief of clinical gastroenterology and therapeutic endoscopy at the University of Colorado and SUNY Stony Brook. A Fellow of the American College of Physicians, he has taught therapeutic endoscopy to physicians for more than 30 years.
A strong believer in ongoing education and training, Dr. Steinberg completed a gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Minnesota and a hematology and oncology fellowship at the University of Washington. He earned his medical degree and completed his residency at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
With his board certifications in gastroenterology and oncology, Dr. Steinberg provides his patients a holistic perspective and well-rounded expertise on malignant tumors. He helps guide patients through their treatment journeys with innovative care plans and shared decision-making.
