From: City Of DearbornDEARBORN, MI – Dearborn Parks & Recreation Senior Services will be working with the AARP Foundation TaxAide to provide tax preparation services, free of charge to residents with low to moderate income.
AARP volunteers are ready to help with 2023 income tax returns every Tuesday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This service is offered by appointment only and begins Tuesday, Feb. 7. Calls are currently being taken for appointments.
To receive help filing your 2022 federal, state, and local tax returns, taxpayers must bring copies of all year-end tax forms, including W-2, 1099 interest and dividend statements, pensions, unemployment, Social Security, and any other miscellaneous income.
Other items to bring include:
-Photo identification
-Social security numbers for each family member
-Last year’s tax return
-Bank routing and account numbers for direct deposit
-Receipts of health care costs, medical insurance premiums, and city, school, and county taxes
