In 1987, Western Washington University debuted their "Artist and Lecture Series" which featured a variety of theatrical, musical and dance performances on WWU's campus. During these early years the series was moved around and housed in both the offices of Old Main and the College of Fine and Performing Arts at various points in time. In the Fall of 1991 the series found its home, and a new name, in the College of Fine and Performing Arts.
During their time in our community these artists have provided local students with master class opportunities, performed for thousands of local K-12 students at free matinees, and shared their passion and talent through evening performances in the Performing Arts Center.
