SerenityGate Foundation is dedicated to supporting families affected by terminal illness. Our Foundation develops and donates self-help tools to families with children, who are losing a loved one. Our team is comprised of professional volunteers, and the low cost of our products makes it possible for us to donate nearly 100% of raised funds. ¨

The story behind
By Susan Binau, Co-founder of SerenityGate Foundation, Mother of Four, Cancer Survivor
One morning, I went to the doctor for a routine checkup. Then, eight hours later, I came home with a life-threatening cancer diagnosis - which changed my entire perspective on life. The pain cut deeply into my heart as I contemplated my fate and the possibility of leaving my four kids behind. Dealing with life-threatening illness as a parent of four children is not a walk in the park. There aren't any guidelines that can prepare us for or tell us how to navigate moments of surgery, pain, extra burdens practical and financial. With suppprt from family and friends we where able to navigate in this caotic time.
After surviving, I experienced a period of devastating loss where cancer took the lives of five of my closest friends and my beloved father. I witnessed first-hand the lack of support that was available to people in our situation.
These experiences have inspired me to give back. For the past seven years, I have developed resources for families to use when coping with terminal illness, loss, and grief.
My fellow co- founders of SerenityGate Foundation and I are ready to begin donating our grief tools in Central Florida. We are launching our grief tools for children at our first book launch and fundraiser WINGS of LOVE, November 14 2015 th in Celebration, Fl. Please visit our website for more information.
Warmly,
Susan Binau
