The Helen Keller Festival celebrates local heritage, inspires hope, and fosters compassion by honoring the life and achievements of Helen Keller. Through collaboration with the Alabama Institute for Deaf Blind, we promote education, awareness, and accessibility for the deaf and blind communities. Our inclusive event offers enriching experiences for all ages, including live music, educational experiences, arts and crafts, and engaging activities for children.
Schedule:
6:00 p.m: HKF Downtown Parade
Parade will start on Commons, go down Main Street, Turn on 5th and back up Water Street. The parade will be held on Thursday at 6:00 PM in downtown Tuscumbia, Alabama. Your group must register online and be at check-in before 5:30 to be allowed to participate in the parade.

4:00 p.m - 10:00 p.m: Kickoff Street Party, Downtown Tuscumbia
Join us to kick of the festival and check out the awesome shops we have downtown. We will have festival shirts for sale at the corner of Main and 5th. Directly following the parade, stay for the celebration featuring live music and tasty food from our local restaurants. Admission: Free
