The Memorial Weekend at Kiawah Island Golf Resort offers guests of all ages an opportunity to dig their toes in the sand, and welcome the summer season with a smile.

8:30am–12:30pm - Camp Kiawah
Camp Kiawah is our themed day camp dedicated to making every day memorable for your child. Each session is themed with games, crafts, and snacks- guaranteed to be tons of fun! Full and half day camp options available. For ages 3-10.

9am – 4pm - Turtles’ Nest Art Studio: Open Studio
Join us throughout the month for a special ceramic bunny painting. Our open studio offers an extensive selection of craft options suitable for families, adults and children. Unleash your imagination as you delve into pottery painting, shark tooth and shell necklace making, wood crafts, canvas painting, and much more.

Prices for each project will vary based on your chosen masterpiece(s). Kiln projects, such as pottery painting, are available for pick up 2-3 days after completion. Shipping is available. Private Bike Lesson
9-9:30am and 10-10:30 am - Friday and Saturday- Night Heron Park
Learn to ride a bike! One of our Recreation staff members will teach you to ride a bike on your own. Bicycle and helmet provided. Lessons are 30 minutes long.

Price: $40. A 22% service charge is added. Recommended for ages 5+.

Archery Lesson
2-3pm - Friday and Saturday - Night Heron Park
Join us on the archery range to try your skills. Enjoy a staff-instructed lesson with various stationary targets and competition games! Great for beginner to intermediate archers.

1-2pm - Family Craft: Tie-Dye
Create a traditional Kiawah logo Tie-Dye T-shirt! Choose from any of our bright, rainbow spectrum colors to make your shirt unique.

11am – 8pm - Loggerhead Grill at The Sanctuary

1-1:45pm - Sidewalk Chalk Contest
Get your Picasso on and join us for a family-friendly Sidewalk Chalk Contest! Each family will have up to 1 hour to draw their most imaginative sidewalk chalk creation. Based on the contest theme, prizes will be awarded to the top two teams.

2-3:15pm - Escape Box Experience: Low Country Investi'GATOR
If you’re looking for a program you can really sink your teeth into, sign up for our tabletop escape experience! You will be tasked with using fun and factual information about alligators to solve a series of clues provided at your team table. Do you have what it takes to chomp down on the solution that will get you into the naturalist’s locked case before the time is up?

5-6pm - Handcrafted Memories
Join us for a creative and unforgettable experience where you’ll create a one-of-a-kind ceramic plate that’s as unique as your handprint! In this hands-on class, you’ll learn the art of painting on pre-fired bisque plates, with the opportunity to add your personal touch—literally. Whether it’s your handprint, a hand-painted design, or a mix of both, our instructor will guide you every step of the way to help bring your vision to life.
