The Memorial Weekend at Kiawah Island Golf Resort offers guests of all ages an opportunity to dig their toes in the sand, and welcome the summer season with a smile.

1-2pm - Family Craft: Handprint Keepsake
Create lasting memories with our Handprint Keepsakes workshop—perfect for families who want to make something truly special together. In this hands-on class, each participant will create their very own keepsake by pressing their handprint into air-dry clay. You’ll have the chance to decorate your handprint with colorful tiles, seashells, beads, and other creative embellishments to make it uniquely yours. This is a wonderful way to capture the essence of a special moment, whether it’s for a parent, grandparent, or simply as a meaningful family keepsake.

Once your handprint is pressed and decorated, you’ll have a beautiful, personal piece of art to cherish forever. No experience is necessary—just bring your creativity and we’ll provide the materials to help you create a lasting memento!

5-6pm - Candle Making
Our artist will help you step by step in the candle-making process. You can choose from more than 80 scents, either picking out one scent or combining scents to make it your own. Design your candle label or even decorate your jar! Projects will be available 1 day after completion.

9am – 4pm - Turtles’ Nest Art Studio: Open Studio
Join us throughout the month for a special ceramic bunny painting. Our open studio offers an extensive selection of craft options suitable for families, adults and children. Unleash your imagination as you delve into pottery painting, shark tooth and shell necklace making, wood crafts, canvas painting, and much more.

Prices for each project will vary based on your chosen masterpiece(s). Kiln projects, such as pottery painting, are available for pick up 2-3 days after completion. Shipping is available.
