Welcome to the Future of Solar Permitting
The City is excited to introduce an innovative and time-saving approach to solar permitting. With our new online system, we have revolutionized the process, making it easier, faster, and more efficient for residents and businesses to go solar.
To learn more, watch the video above or visit ranchomirageca.gov.
Why Solar Permitting Matters
Solar energy is a clean and sustainable source of power that helps reduce our carbon footprint and dependence on fossil fuels. By streamlining the solar permitting process, we aim to encourage and accelerate the adoption of solar power systems in Rancho Mirage. With the new online system, we remove unnecessary barriers, saving time, effort, and resources for both applicants and the city.

Riverside County Department of Animal Services urges all pet owners to prepare for a wildfire or other natural disaster by developing a plan that includes an emergency kit and pet identification.
Pet Evacuation Kit should include:
- At least seven days of feed and water for each animal
- Photographs of each animal with you in the picture
- Crate or carrier for each pet that is large enough for the pet to stand up, turn around and lie down
- Leashes, collars or harness
- Copies of veterinary records and proof of ownership
- Toys and treats for pets
- Litter pan and litter for cats
- Food and water bowls
- Manual can opener
- Plastic “poop” bags
- Paper towels, newspaper
- First Aid kit with a seven-day supply of medications
Identification: Having identification on your animals may help reunite you with your animal(s) in the event that you are separated. Identification should provide your name, home address, a phone number where you can be reached, and alternate contact information of someone outside of the disaster area. Include any safety or medical concerns, such as any allergies or if the animal is known to bite. If possible, include your veterinarian’s name, location and phone number.
Suitable forms of identification for household pets include:
Microchip | Dog license | ID Tag | Collar with information
In the event of a natural disaster, the most up-to-date information will be available at rcdas.org/disaster.
Call the Department of Animal Services at (951) 358-7387 if your animal is in danger of harm due to wildfire or other disaster emergency.
