Long Beach, CA – On Sunday, June 8, 2025, Long Beach Symphony invites families to a joyful afternoon of music, culture, and creativity at the RuMBa Foundation Family Concert: Dance Around the World at the Terrace Theater & Plaza in downtown Long Beach.

Join Music Director Eckart Preu as he leads an engaging and interactive concert experience designed especially for young audiences and their families. Featuring Long Beach Symphony musicians and special guest performers, this lively performance celebrates music and movement from around the world in a welcoming, high-energy environment.

Before the concert, families can explore the Plaza filled with hands-on activities, games, and crafts. A crowd favorite, the “Instrument Petting Zoo,” invites children to touch, play, and learn about the instruments of the orchestra. Community partners will also be on-site with booths offering fun and educational experiences for both kids and adults.

“This is a day of discovery and connection for the entire family,” says Symphony President Kelly Ruggirello. “Thanks to the generous support of The RuMBa Foundation, we’re proud to offer an accessible and unforgettable event for all.”
