Why not start the new year with a laugh? Come out to Osceola Arts and get a Clue. Meet Miss Scarlett, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock and Colonel Mustard in this hilarious whodunit farce. This cast of characters has been invited to a mysterious dinner party when their host turns up dead. The six must put their heads together to find the killer. Because if they don't, they could be next.

This show is Rated PG-13.

Art in Public Places at Buenaventura Lakes Library

presents Selfismo.

Enrique Hernandez, also known as SELFISMO, has been inspired to create art since he was a child in Cuba. He attended a community art school that provided inspiration and an opportunity to connect with local graffiti artists. At age 17, Selfismo was assaulted by a group of teenagers who attacked him with a Samurai sword resulting in the loss of his hand. Artmaking became part of his treatment and therapy. An opportunity to relocate to Spain and eventually to Canada provided creative opportunities to focus on his art full-time and establish the unique abstract visual language he calls “Selfismo Style” He presently lives in Orlando Florida, where he is very active in the local art scene as he continues creating a legacy in art.

Art in Public Places at Veterans Memorial Library. St. Cloud Branch presents art by Grey W. Sturgill.

Originally from Brooklyn, NYC, Grey didn’t focus on art until high school. She began her art experience as an Art Major at Prospect Heights HS during her junior year and a summer of study at the former “Studio O'' art collective which started her on the path of exploring different art mediums. Over the years Grey has explored and very much enjoyed the areas’ of etching/printmaking, copper relief, yarn fiber crafts of knitting & crochet, and painting. She has completed studies in Architectural Drafting, and Graphics Printing. From the 1980s through 2015 she concentrated on knitting & crochet and has a sizable collection of her original designs of winter wear for adults and babies. Her most memorable experiences have been as an Art teacher/Activity director with at-risk children and older adults.

Grey Sturgill’s Exhibit “Dream Doodles,” is an exploration of playful free-hand drawings. “Line lineation outcomes that allow my pens, shapes, and colors to come alive and move about and wander until finished. Dream Doodles allows for any interpretation as perceived by the observer. My whimsical Doodles Feeds & Frees Imagination,” says Sturgill.

Art in Public Places at West Osceola Library

presents local artist Andy Beauchamp.

Mr. Beauchamp was born in the Bahamas and raised in Haiti. He's been painting for more than 20 years, creating works often described as surreal, using abstract forms of musical instruments to depict the human figure. Beauchamp believes that music is a universal language that everyone can connect with. His work often features the technique of “trompe l’oeil”, a French term for “trick of the eye”, a painting style that uses realistic imagery to create the illusion of three-dimensional space on a two-dimensional surface. Beauchamp executes this craft to encourage viewers to interpret, rearranging the content and subject matter in his artwork in their own way.
