Mission Statement:
The Players promotes artistic creativity, cultural heritage, and education through dramatic arts at the historic Barker Playhouse on Benefit Street in Providence. Incorporated in 1909, the non-profit theater was created with the objective of providing the opportunity for all to experience amateur theatrical productions. The Players is dedicated to enriching the fabric of the community through collaborations with other performing arts and civic organizations. Celebrating and preserving the organization’s rich past fuels the vibrant and sustainable future of The Players as they continue to inspire and nurture talent, confidence, compassion, and friendship.
