The Spring Fairy Festival was created in 2008 by Angela Wehnert, owner of Crescent Moon Gifts, a store of "Fantasy, Myth & Magick" located in Tacoma, WA.
Originally meant to be a fun party for her customers to welcome back spring, the event was so well attended and loved that it grew to become an annual festival!
The festival was held in many venues throughout the years, and in 2015 became a free community outdoor style block party/street faire!
With the wild success of the annual Spring Fairy Festival the guests and community were always asking for more, and in 2015 a Fall event was added that would celebrate going into the darker half of the year, where it is a bit more unseelie, and witches and goblins come to play!
Held annually both CMG Fantasy Festivals were a celebration of the season with art, music and dance.
In 2020 due to covid a transition was made to make the events focus solely on supporting local artists, crafters and vendors in the community. Run like a Fairy Farmer's Market, the Magical Marketplace was created. As always our events are designed to let people of all ages come together to express and enjoy one another's creativity in a safe and non-judgmental environment.
We welcome you to join us as we continue to bring these fun events to the community, we encourage everyone to come and play for a day!
These free events are organized by just one person, and run entirely by volunteers, your generous donations and volunteer support are greatly appreciated to keep this event in our community for years to come!
