Crossing off one bucket list item at a time, Janel and JC Laravie purchased Wolf Gap Vineyard & Winery from  Willard and Diane Elledge in September 2021. JC grew up in Burke, VA and Janel grew up in Fort Ashby, WV. The two met in 2003 in Tampa, Florida, and married in 2009. Coincidentally, 2009 was when they first spread their entrepreneurial wings. After stumbling across the Wolf Gap property listing and discovering it is just 45 minutes from numerous family members, Janel and JC just knew it was meant to be. With a vision of building on the foundation that Willie and Diane built, they are committed to continuing to deliver the best wines the Shenandoah Valley has to offer and experiences you’ll never forget.

Our Legacy

Founded in 2004 by Willard and Diane Elledge, the Wolf Gap Vineyard and Winery is a 48-acre estate located in the Shenandoah Valley with spectacular views of the Great North Mountain from the wine-tasting deck. Perched on a ridge, the deck offers valley and mountain views including Wolf Gap, the geographical feature from which the vineyard takes its name.
