Mohonk Mountain House is not open to the public on the 4th of July. An overnight reservation is required to join in the 4th of July activities.

Schedule of Events

9:30AM - 12:30PM: Morning Kids' Club: Fourth of July Celebration

Choose your adventure whether inside or out. Kids can explore the trails on the Colors of Nature Scavenger Hunt. If you’re not up for hiking, you can stay inside to build a fort or create your very own drawstring backpack. Drop-off is available during the first half hour of any program for ages 4-12 only. A waiver must be completed for each child before their first session via the QR code at the Main Bulletin Board or at Kids’ Club.

10:00AM: Guided Rock Scramble

Enjoy a peaceful evening bike tour, visiting some of Mohonk’s most stunning views. Finish the ride at Cope’s Lookout, where you’ll be greeted by a breathtaking westward panorama as the sun sets. $40 mt. bike or $75 for an E-bike & helmet rental fee. Arrive 15 minutes early for fitting. Ages 16 and up. Approximately 4 miles.

10:45AM: Guided Mountain Bike Ride

Enjoy a peaceful evening bike tour, visiting some of Mohonk’s most stunning views. Get set to get wet with hilarious water games! Bring clothes that can get wet and a good sense of humor, we’ll provide the towels. Drop-off is available during the first half hour of any program for ages 4-12 only. A waiver must be completed for each child before their first session via the QR code at the Main Bulletin Board or at Kids’ Club.

2:00PM: Leisurely Afternoon Hike

Leisurely guided hike around the lake. 3 miles. Sneakers or hiking boots required. Ages 7 and up.

7:00PM - 8:30PM: Evening Kids' Club: Tie-Dye

Let’s get crafty and make some festive red, white, and blue tie-dye (or any other colors you desire)! We’ll have options of white cotton items to dye, or you can bring your own t-shirt or other white cotton piece to fully customize your creation. Drop-off is available during the first half hour of any program for ages 4-12 only. A waiver must be completed for each child before their first session via the QR code at the Main Bulletin Board or at Kids’ Club

9:00PM: Live Music: Singer Songwriters of the 70's

The Festival of the Arts at Mohonk launches with a tribute to musical icons of the 70’s including Billy Joel, Jackson Browne, Stevie Nicks, Simon & Garfunkel, Carole King, CSN, Neil Young, and, of course, JONI!!  Headlined by cabaret artist and entrepreneur Lauren Fox and Scott Chasolen, multi-instrumentalist and keyboardist for the acclaimed Pink Floyd tribute band, The Machine.

9:00PM - 10:00PM: Campfire, S’mores, and Music

Join guitarist Wild Bill and the Buffalo Boys for an evening of family fun and songs by the campfire while roasting a delicious marshmallow treat!
