Looking for a family friendly way to kick off your summer fun. Look no further than Smith Mountain Lake State Park. We'll have lots of activities for you and your family to enjoy throughout the entire Memorial Day weekend. Some of the activities include a campfire, programs about our local wildlife, and kid-friendly crafts offered at our swimming beach. Our beach opens at 11 a.m. every day. Programs are free, but regular parking and beach fees apply.

2:00 p.m - 4:00 p.m: Memorial Day Weekend - Discovery Center Exploration at Discovery Center
Stop by and investigate the variety of flora and fauna found around Smith Mountain Lake.

5:00 p.m - 6:00 p.m: Memorial Day Weekend - Insect Detectives at Under tent below beach pavilion
Scurry on over to investigate the secret life of a bug.

7:45 p.m - 8:45 p.m: Memorial Day Weekend - Welcome Campfire
